Chinese steel company Jiang Yin Xin Cheng Special Steel Works Co. (JYXC) erected a new greenfield wide plate mill near- by its existing bar mill facilities. The annual production capacity of the new plant is 1.65 million t of discrete plates. The variety of steel grades to be produced include structural steel, HSLA steel, anti-corrosion steel, bridge steel, off-shore steel, pipeline steel, shipbuilding steel, mechanical construction steel, vessel steel, boiler steel etc. Thermo-mechanically rolled products account for 62.5% of the total produced mix.
